General Provisions
The following terms are entered by and between the User/Member and
Royal Institution. By accessing and browsing this website, the user/member agrees
to be bound by these terms.
Royal Institution reserves the right to amend these Terms which shall
take effect immediately upon notice in the website. The subsequent use of the user/member
is deemed acceptance of such amendments.
1. Warranties and Submission
Members are required to submit a hard copy of their credentials to
Royal Institution for purposes of evaluating and approval of their membership. The
members hereby warrant the veracity or truthfulness of their credentials. Information
posted on the members’ profile shall initially be uploaded by Royal Institution
to which it does not warrant that the contents are error-free.
Any update on the members’ profile and its accuracy shall be the members’
responsibility.
2. Password Protection
Members are advised to keep their password confidential and shall
be held liable for its unauthorized use. Members are responsible for the use of
their Accounts and shall ensure that any use of which must be in compliance with
these Terms. Royal Institution must be notified immediately of any unauthorized
use of Account.
3. Members Behavior Online
The following are the
prohibited activities:
• for multilevel marketing, junk mails, spamming, chain letters or otherwise to provide unwanted solicitations
or promotional messages (unless otherwise allowed in the Terms of Use or upon consent
of the member concerned);
• to harm, abuse, embarrass, offend, insult or to any other forms
of inappropriate behavior which violates the right of
others;
• to upload, publish or otherwise circulate within the
Royal Institution’s website any pornographic, indecent, or otherwise inappropriate
materials either in the form photos, videos, messages or discussions;
• to infringe or otherwise violate the intellectual property rights
of others whether a member or not;
• to introduce any program or software including malaware or malicious
or disruptive programs including viruses. It also includes spy ware, scripts processes
or software or programs designed to gather or collect information in the website
or to obtain source code of the website;
• to provide contact details such as telephone number, mobile number
and email address in the inappropriate fields which are allotted for public viewing
or to otherwise include contact details in the public profile which is available
to all members viewing the same.
Contact details may be placed in the fields appropriately reserve
for such;
• to directly compete with Royal Institution’s networking platform.
• to do any action or operation which will unduly strain, interfere
or disrupt the normal capacity or operation of the website;
• to misrepresent the true identity of the member, which includes
using pen name or pseudo name or to
otherwise misrepresent important details such as the current work, previous jobs
held etc. To post pictures or images for the public profile other than that of the
member which includes but is not limited to cartoon characters, famous celebrity
etc;
• to violate any applicable laws, rules and regulation; and
• to impair the professional culture of Royal Institution or to promote
notoriety or be associated with organizations with dubious character or otherwise
outlawed.
Depending on the degree, severity and habituality of the violation,
Royal Institution reserves the right to impose disciplinary actions against erring
members using the website. The penalties or disciplinary actions may range from
suspension of privileges for a repeated offense or to be banned from accessing their
Account in case of severe and flagrant violations. Royal Institution reserves the
right to remove the content which is contrary to the Terms of Use without notifying
the member concerned. Royal Institution will however notify the members of the violations
and be heard accordingly before any sanctions of suspension or expulsion is imposed.
Ban or expulsion from the website may result to termination of membership in Royal
Institution depending on the severity or frequency of violations.
4. Royal Institution’s Rights
& Duties
Royal Institution strives to provide a professional networking platform
and all the secondary services it may offer in its website.
Royal Institution will strive to provide all the services available
to all members to which they are entitled without any disruptions. However, Royal
Institution will not be liable for any service interruptions due to fortuitous events
beyond its control, or causes such as technical repairs, systems check up or any
forms of renovation nor is it liable for malfunction or interruptions that cannot
be prevented by exercise of reasonable diligence.
Royal Institution may post links of third parties in its website.
Once the member decides to go to such website, Royal Institution is free from any
liability, as it does not exercise control or supervision over third party websites.
Royal Institution reserves the right to alter, modify or to withdraw
the services online which it may have been initially offered upon joining and registration
of the member concerned. Royal Institution will not be responsible for any of the
subsequent changes or withdrawal of service.
